What do you think?

I'm reading a book called "Fight Like a Girl" by Lisa Bevere, which encourages women to embrace the way they were created. In it, she talks about how God is not a man and what we ultimately desire will never be completely met or found in one, and that only God is perfect...there is no perfect man. Yet, we often try and change our men to more closely match our ideals. In her discussion, Lisa quotes Devi Titus (a woman):

"Most women serve their children and train their husbands, rather than the other way around."

This strikes me as true. What do you think?

I'm always suspicious of statements that begin with "most women(men, people, kids,...)", but in my house it seems no-one is trainable. Everyone seems to be resistant to being taught something. It's frustrating when you know you have something to teach and no-one seems willing to hear you out or even discuss it with you.

Or perhaps I'm the one who needs to be trained to let them use their own brains to figure stuff out...

An interesting point and probably not too far from the truth!
