We got a 2002 Chevy Venture today. Now we can drive around with our whole family using current safety standards (J1 was squished in between the car seats with only a lap belt). This is a bit of a miracle as our debt load is abnormally high until our house sells. It feels strange to enter the world of mini-van owners. But they sure are convenient! I could hop out of my seat and take care of any of my kids (we weren't driving). Didn't get the best best trade on our car, but not horrible. The financing is on the high side, but at least we can pay it out if we get the chance. I'm just really happy we have a proper vehicle for our family. Maybe it will help the cabin fever I've been developing.
