Over the Hump

Well, it feels like we've made it over the first major hump (and all its bumps and lumps)...that is, the milk coming in. God is so good that he gives two days of grace before all that craziness.

Still stiff from all the pushing (my new personal best: 1 1/2 hours). Healing well, but have to watch I don't do too much or it all regressess. No tears, so that's nice (read "flesh wounds" not "weeping"). The kids are at a friends, Rod is out, and Joshua has been sleeping all morning. I disobeyed the sleep when baby sleeps rule this morning and had a shower, some breakfast, some scheduling for when my parents come, some chatting on the phone, some paying bills (arrgh), and some blogging. Not exactly restful. Joshua is a little messed up since coming into the world in the middle of the night. Oh, well...we're all a little messed up now.

Kids love him to bits. Always wanting to cuddle with him (at in-opportune times). Rachel is forever saying "Is that baby Joshua? I love him/her". Their sleep patterns are a little more chaotic and depleted these days. Just like their parents'.

Sorry I don't have photos. We haven't actually taken any since Friday and they haven't been downloaded to this computer. Hey, get this...we did maternity photos while I was in active labour. They're really beautiful though. Not sure if we got some with my face all contorted in pain. I haven't seen them all.

I should go lie down before the kids come home.

Dear Sonya and hubby and kids.

Congratulations with little beautiful Joshua. He is so adorable.. really! What a beautiful name! (So funny how we love the same names. If Rachel was a boy..her name would also be Joshua.. Oh well..)
We love you guys and we are so happy for you! May His peace, rest and wisdom stay at your home. Can't wait to see you and the little one!

Shalom, Pauline, Scott, Reuben and Rachel
